ORIGINAL MESSAGE / QUESTION / TRIP REPORT:
Rendezvous
Posted By bwtc on 11-10-2003 6:49:51am
We are booked for this resort Feb 2004 in a Jr Suite Verandah room. We have received a map layout of the resort showing us where these rooms are located on the property. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which rooms offer the best location, view, etc for that category. Also any information on the resort itself would be appreciated. Thank you.

We stayed at Rendezvous for our honeymoon in May 2002. It was fantastic - you can do as much or as little as you like and the place never seems crowded. Try all the watersports at least once, play tennis, swim, do aquaerobics, archery or just lay on the beach. The volcano is worth a visit in Soufriere, ideally by boat - we went by catamaran and had the best view of dolphins - even better than on the whale and dolphin-spotting trip! We also did a rainforest hike, which was brilliant. The sunset trip on the tall ship was great, too. Rendezvous is set on a public beach, but it's never very busy, although watch out for guys trying to sell you stuff! |

We stayed at Rendezvous in late Oct/Nov and were in Verandah suite 214 which is 2nd floor. My advice if you want privacy is to be upstairs, large verandah, table 2 chairs, 2 large wooden steamer loungers and light. On the ground floor furniture is the same but you are open to everyone passing by. 214 overlooked the exercise pool but none of the verandah suites really have a view of the ocean, but they are the best rooms at the hotel. We had a great time and can't wait to return. |
