What is the paraisoo del mar like? Posted By Tracey on 09-09-2005 11:45:29am Hi! My husband and I have been twice to the Gala in Huatulco and twice to the Gala in Playacar. We are looking to go again next December (2006) and will be taking our son (he'll be almost 4 by the time we go). We love the Gala but wanted to try something different, especially since it's now been bought out by Sandos. In regards to the Paraiso Del Mar, can you snorkel right there? It looks to me like there's somewhat of a reef and that was one of the stipulations I wanted in a resort when we go? Also, it appears there's a nice sandy area too...is this true? Are the resort grounds clean of garbage? They were impeccable with that at the Gala and the last thing I want to look at is garbage all over. If anyone has any suggestions for other resorts in the Mayan Riviera, I would appreciate it....the things I was looking for was at least 1 buffet restaurant, snorkelling right on site if possible, places to walk (either on the beach or nice resort grounds), and definitely a beach bar. At the Gala, if you get the upgrade, you have 24 hour access to a fully stocked bar with food in the lobby. It was great stopping by before breakfast to get a cup of ice with a couple shots of Sourpuss every morning! I'm not really concerned about a Kids Club as he'll be a couple weeks shy of turning 4 and most are for 4 year olds and above... Thanks!
