The indoor patio area is the focal point of the house and this offers complete privacy. Here, breakfast can be taken to a chorus of songbirds while at sundown you can enjoy a rum punch or two to the sound of the night creatures stirring from their slumber. Or, why not relax and ease away your cares by taking a dip in the pool under the stars of the Caribbean sky?
The grounds that surround the house are filled with an array of tropical plants. Frangipani, flamboyant, jasmine, bouganvillea, banana, guava, nutmeg and lime trees.
Our housekeeper, Philomena is there to keep house and she will attend to the housework during your stay. If desired she will cook you a local dish.
Park Drive is centrally located. Approximately ten minutes from Point Salines International Airport and from the centre of St. George's, the capital city.
We recommend that you hire a car during your stay on the island. We can organise this for you with a leading car hire company on the island.
Nearby are three beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches and rocky coves all of which are in walking distance. Pickly Bay, a mere ten minutes walk from the house, has a variety of facilities, including a mini-market, a marina with a reasonable bistro and bar area. Good supermarkets are close by at Grande Anse, the famous white golden sands beach of the Caribbean. This area is a popular tourist location and you will find many of Grenadaûs leading hotels, bars, restaurants, banks and shopping malls. In addition to other daytime and night-time attractions.
Arrival & Transfer
On arrival at Point Salines International Airport you will be met by our taxi driver, Simon of Mandoo Tours. The journey to the house is only a 10 minutes ride. You will be shown around the house by our housekeeper and given a set of keys. Before you arrive we organise on your behalf for a small supply of groceries to be purchased. Please state if you are vegetarians.
This can be arranged for you with a local leading car hire company. An average car hire - Suzuki Jeep - is approximately £199 - £250.00 per week, depending on the model of the car you select, the duration of your stay, the EC$ rate and the season. Credit card transactions only. A local licence is required and this will be provided by the rental company - EC$30 (US$13) when you submit your British/International Driving Licence. Car Hire on the island is not available to under 26 year olds. The cost of petrol is much lower than that in the UK.
In order to give yourself time to adjust we recommend that you take receipt of your car hire the morning after your arrival. Your car will be delivered to the house at a mutually agreed time. On the evening of arrival if you wish to dine out, our taxi service is available for hire. Details of which are located at the property.

Known fondly as the 'Isle of Spice', being situated 12º north of the Equator, and therefore well within the tropics, it is a truly special place to visit. The warmth and the charm of the islanders will capture your heart and your imagination. You will come home feeling relaxed and refreshed. The landscape is one of the prettiest in the Caribbean, with many spectacular and unspoilt beaches; majestic mountain views; valleys and waterfalls. There is a tropical rain forest (Grand Etang) and a crater lake. The island is overflowing with banana and cocoa plantations, tropical fruits and flowers and the sweet aroma of spices.
Despite being one of the more developed islands in the Caribbean, it is quite untouched by commercialism and has retained its character. Rarely will you see a building taller than a coconut tree!
The capital city is St. George's. Nestled into a hillside above a busy harbour it is known as the jewel in the Caribbean. Alluring by day and sparkling by night, it has retained a certain charm and character now lost by many of its counterparts. Visit any of the hilltop restaurants or bars, and you will see for yourself how the city sparkles like a thousand diamonds at night. For the explorer there are many attractions. These include - rum factories, sugar mills, plantations and areas of archaeological interest. There are also waterfalls, a tropical rain forest and a nature reserve not to mention some of the finest unspoilt silver beaches in the Caribbean, most of which are usually fringed with sea grape and coconut trees to shield you from the tropical sun.
As there are no private beaches in Grenada so access to every beach must be made available to the general public.

Entertainment
The many luxury hotels and the larger restaurants have evening entertainment, and a host of sports facilities. Experience something different like crab racing or dancing to the sound of a steel band under a moonlit Caribbean sky. There is a varied choice of restaurants in the St Georgeûs and surrounding areas.
Currency
The currency is EC Dollar which remains fixed to the US$ @ EC$2.67. Travellers cheques can be exchanged at the banks. In some cases, hotels and supermarkets will exchange travellers cheques for local currency, but at a lower rate. The current exchange rate for sterling can be obtained at Barclayûs Bank or Bank of Novia Scotia.
ATM machines are available in the Grande Anse and St. Georgeûs Area

English electrical appliances 3 pin 240volts, can be used. Transformers are required for 110v.

There are three very good supermarkets within close proximity of each other and our property.
Getting around Grenada
This is relatively easy given the choice of taxi, rental cars and buses available. Taxi rates are set and can be hired even for a dayûs sightseeing. Driving in Grenada is on the left side of the road.
Other islands near Grenada
Access to the other islands is very simple. There are some superb islands which you can visit. For instance: day trips to Mustique or Carriacou, Trinidad, Antigua or St. Lucia or, Margarita Island off Venezuela, for a change of pace and tempo. These are just a few of the many accessible places to visit.
Scuba Diving
The waters surrounding Grenada and Carriacou offer fun and excitement for divers of all skill levels. There are a number of schools attached to the hotels and you fill find them listed in Greetings, the local tourist guide that is readily available on the island.
Golf
There is a 9-hole course at which visitors are very welcome. Menûs clubs are available for hire. The course is attractive and well maintained. Professional tuition is available by appointment. Not too sure if they have a website. Will enquire and let you know
Tennis
Some of the leading hotels have courts that you can book. A public tennis facility is located at Grande Anse.
Fishing & Sailing, Windsurfing & other watersports
The Windward Islands have some of the finest sailing waters and boats can be chartered from the many yachting locations. All of the beaches in the St Georgeûs area will have watersport facilities.
