I am considering a visit? Any reviews? How far to the beach just for a swim? How is the diving? food?accomodations?

thanks Rich. We are traveling there May 21st-May29 06. Hubby is a diver I snorkle. Looking for relaxation. our past vacations (not just your casual camping trip) have been cruises. Neither of us exactly need night life, so this trip may fit the bill. We have several friends that have gone to Fantasy Island and they loved it.

We have stayed at Fantasy Island two times. It is situated on the beach and you can swim there or off the gazebo. The rooms are large--the second floor has vaulted ceilings. The staff is outstanding. The second time we were there it had changed ownership and the food was wonderful--really extraordinary. If you are diving, the boats go out twice a day and are well run and well equipped. I would highly recommend the resort as some place to just relax. There isn't much to do except water sports.
