Hurrican Emily in July Posted By Tiffany on 08-26-2005 7:14:50am My fiancee and I honeymooned at the El Dorado Royale Resort the week of July 10, 2005 and were forced to leave a day early due to Hurricane Emily. We have been dying to know if the resort is still in tact. We stayed in the Casita Swim-up Suites and want to know if they are still there! If anyone has visited recently and has any information, we would greatly appreciate it!

We returned to the hotel the next morning after an overnight stay in the Cancun convention center. There were some damaged Casitas but there were some that were fine. People were staying in them. Of course that was before the really big hurricane! I just saw another website that said the further south from cancun, the better off hotels were, but that on Nov. 9th, El Dorado Royale was not open yet.
