ORIGINAL MESSAGE / QUESTION / TRIP REPORT:

Our Honeymoon Posted By Marissa on 08-08-2003 2:38:22pm We got married on June 28th and headed to the resort for 2 weeks right after... We had an amazing time... we were kind of worried heading there because we had read some not so great stuff (as well as some great stuff) about it, but we were very happy with the trip... It couldnt have been better... We stayed in a Casita sweet for the entire time... had a great view of the beautiful ocean and a pool practically to ourselves. The room was really nice, with a jaccuzzi tub, plus another huge tub and showwer, plus an outdoor shower... We were constantly arriving back to our room and finding cool little surprises, like a chilled bottle of chamapagne, towel oragami (a huge heart) and flower petals on our bed, and fresh flowers in vases... Other people we met said they had tons of different kinds of towel art on their beds (elephants, swans, etc) as well as new magazines left for them in their rooms...The pool outside our Casita had a maximum of 6 people there ever, which was great. We had a awesome bartender names Martin who kept the drinks coming...We couldnt even finish the first one before he was topping it off with another... We really miss having him mix us up Miami Vices and Strawberry Daquiris...All the restraurants were great, especially the Italian, Mexican, and Oriental... Room service was also great. We ordered breakfast from room service almost every morning. We had some nice meals at La Isla, as well as some that were only so-so... As far as entertainment goes, the Iron Man show is not to be missed for a good laugh. The other shows are only so-so... you have to keep in mind that this is a couples resort, so they keep entertainment pretty low key... We didnt mind at all, finding it very nice to just stoll down the beach and drink champagne instead. Our overall rating of the place is excellent. When reading the poor reviews, try to keep in mind that this is mexico, and things are going to be different than what you are used to... Rememeber you are on vacation and stay layed backed when things arnt perfect... Any small problems we had were quickly remedied by the very kind staff, who respond very well to a smile.
