I had heard that the deluxe was bigger, but in the old tower. It is better to be in the old or new tower? Which one is more likely to have the balcony facing ocean front? Also, is the deluxe worth $400 more for 7 nights (2 ppl). THANKS!

Re: El Cozumeleno Beach Resort - mike Posted on: 02-24-2004 10:12:40am We stayed at the El Coz from feb,14-21,2004.The food is just "alright",the staff is very friendly,the resort is clean & well maintained.The entertainment is so so,it could use some help.One note;we had 2 pieces of clothing stolen from our room,kinda creepy knowing people are going through your stuff.Other than that I would say try it! Re: El Cozumeleno Beach Resort - Bev and Terry Posted on: 02-14-2004 5:39:25pm we stayed for 7 nocs. it was really wonderful, our room was on the 7th floor of the new wing, and it was always kept spotless(careful of the showers, the can be slippery!)This has been the nicest room yet in Mexico. We took the on site snorkel tour 4 stops, Carlos was fun and a good guide. we did rent a car at the hotel that was a piece of crap!!! but we shared expenses and went to the otherside of the Island which we recommend highly. the bars are fun, and some places even have dollar beer.We stopped at Chankanaab park, but needed more time there. I would probably snorkel from the deserted hotel down to ours next time, short week much sun good drinks and interesting food. 2nd trip to Cozumel, will go again
