Couples Swept away negril Posted By Aileen on 07-28-2003 2:56:09pm I am wondering if anyone who has traveled to Couples Swept Away Negril has any input on the room temperature in both the rooms and restaurants. I have a heat sensitive boyfriend who is fearful after reading a review that the air conditioning is not up to par at this resort.

Re: Couples Swept away negril - suzanne Posted on: 07-31-2003 8:40:25am The AC in Jamaica is very different from that in the US. Just about any resort you go to will have the same "type" of AC. I have been to both Couples Ochos Rios and Couples Negril (but now swept away). It is hotter in general at Negril. there is more of an ocean breeze in OR which kept the resort cooler. (we went in late april.) The main eating area (for breakfast, lunch & dinner) is a buffet and it is open. they have fans overhead, so you would need to make sure that you are below one of the fans. The gourment restaurant does have AC, and it is cooler, but not like in the states. Negril and OR were both fabulous. You will like either one. Negril has a WONDERFUL beach.
