Coco View Resort Posted By Jay A. Peterson on 08-26-2003 2:19:05pm Just returned from Coco View, 8-23-03. The resort has a serious health problem. Everyone at the resort became ill after a couple of days at the resort. This health problem has been on going and been covered up by the resort. When confronted with the problem the manager apologized and said that they thought they had it under control. When we told them we were going to put the info on Coco Views bulletin booard they removed the bulletin board from the web page. We had 21 peopl in our group and all became ill. Three other groups who arrived at or near our arrival time, all became ill during their stay. Avoid the place if you can and if you can not get out of your trip then you should be prepared for a week of health problems.

In general everyone in our group remained well,however, I did have a problem with the dog (Maggie), who has a serious skin problem,coming around our table at meals and begging for food, she was disgusting to look at not to mention the smell. I did return home with some serious bug bites that I had to have treated by my doctor even though I used repellant faithfully. It rained almost 80% of the week we were there, so its hard to say whether I would go back or not.
