Bambarra Sands Cottage has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and 2 baths, sleeps four comfortably, and is furnished Caribbean style in cane and rattan. The kitchenette is fully equipped to help make you completely self sufficient. The living room opens to a screened porch with a spectacular view of the clear crystal waters. All just steps away from one of the most beautiflul beaches in the Turks and Caicos. | |
Activities
Bring your fly rod and fish for bonefish right in front of the cottage!! (the locals eat them and say they are quite tasty) or hire one of the guides to take you to the south side of the Island for some of the greatest bonefishing in the hemisphere! In the evenings, when the tide is flowing, you can fish off the beach for reef fish that move in after dark to work the beach for food.
Our Caretaker will assist you upon your arrival for guided boat service for reef fishing or trolling along the reef.
Bambarra beach offers great snorkeling. A 15 minute stroll west of the cottage on the beach brings you to "McKitrick's Reef". About an acre in size and in waist deep water, this reef has an abundance of tropical fish, corals, and invertabrates. Walk east to Bambarra's community beach then wade along the sand bar to Pelican Cay for more spectacular snorkeling.
Lay in our Hammock under the shade covered beach with views of the sea. A personal retreat conceived for comfort and privacy with beach umbrellas, lounge chairs, snorkel masks and fins for exploring the reefs. You'll be surrounded by tropical and exotic plants and flowers and cooling breezes. | |
